We celebrated it for the last five years, each year with innovative themes on 8th March .
“Empowering Women together”. Empower one woman and you empower the Nation!
”Celebrating International Women’s Day with not only the ‘Shia’ and ‘Sunni’ Muslim women, we celebrated the achievement of women while calling for a greater equality”- Emele Tokalau (AMAFHH Volunteer)
These special free events were arranging at the city. They included presentations, entertainment and refreshment for the guests.
The annually recurring event was created to encourage effective action for advancing and recognizing women and empowering them. It leads to discussion of some very important issues affecting our community, including how to tackle existing patriarchal structures and how to truly empower women to be able to bring about change. The event is a huge recurring success and provides a great deal of information and fun for all involved.
