Annual Iftar Dinner
Iftar with a difference, with the co-existence and mutual understanding as a goal, has run each ramadan for the last five years.
The Iftar events endorse multiculturalism and also promote, Intrafaith and Interfaith cohesion! “Breaking bread and breaking boundaries – celebrating Ramadan whilst eliminating cultural boundaries.”
An important objective is to integrate other cultures together to break stigma surrounding culturally diverse communities. Attendees have included representatives of the Office of the Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Multicultural and ethnicity Community Liaison Officers from the Victorian Multicultural commission, Department of Social service, Department of Immigration and Border Protection, Australian Federal Police and Victoria police as well as Scholars, Educators, Interfaith and Muslim community leaders, as well as AMAFHH’s Volunteers and Placement Students !
